Introduction[edit]

Visiting this canyon during wet season will add to the enjoyment.

This round trip adventure will take you from a street side drop in to a beautiful creek bed at the bottom of the canyon which you will have to hike upstream for a mile and a half or so before a steep hillside scramble up to the exit point.

Approach[edit]

Drive up and park in the dirt lot next to the drop in

Descent[edit]

The first rap is about 150', Second is about 80' followed by a few more shorter raps and several down climbs.

The raps are all pretty straight forward. Green and mossy, all natural anchors.

There was poison oak growing plentiful near most of the anchor points

Exit[edit]

After completing the technical section, turn right at the fork and stay in the creek bed. Staying in the creek bed will offer walking and wading in water up to the knees and possibly higher depending on the season. I would assume there will be more water in the earlier months of the year and dry up as the summer months approach.

Red tape[edit]

3/26/2015 there was alot of pipe (all cut) and tracks as if a pot farm got busted the year before. in any case just be aware of pot farming going on in the area.
