Introduction[edit]

Approach[edit]

By car from Spiez towards Kandersteg. Turn left in Reichenbach and continue to Kiental. From Kiental continue towards "Griesalp" / "Hotel Waldrand". After the Tschingelsee, park in the parking lot "Tschingelsee" at the end of the valley (charges apply). When you follow the street few more meters you can see the exit of the Canyon Gries which is also a good checkpoint.

Continue on foot towards "Griesalp" / "Hotel Waldrand" along the street or along the hiking trail called "PostBus Adventure Trail". Past the "Hexenkessel". At the road bridge over the Gries (Gornererwasser, branch to the Hotel Waldrand) take the path to the small wooden dam.
