Introduction[edit]

3.2km of continuous limestone, full of carved & shaped rock features.

Many natural rock arches. Many boulder roofs. Even boulder roofs over rock arches.

There is a bar with thermal baths at the end of this canyon, and also a thermal spring inside the canyon where the water will begin turning the rocks white.

Holta is quite horizontal with few drops for its length. However it can be nicely paired with Gjërzezë. The end of Gjërzezë is the start of Holta.

Approach[edit]

Begin with a bus shuttle from the thermal baths up to the dam at the start. There is also another canyon, Gjërzezë , you can descend with a hike at the top of this one (you can do it first, then continue into Holta).

Descent[edit]

See Book link Albania Canyoning for detailed description.

Exit[edit]

Walk out the hallway and a few hundred yards to the cafe where you park your cars.
