Introduction[edit]
Great as an add-on for a double header. A few small jumps up to 15 feet into shallow pools, one possible slide of 25 feet at the last rappel, use the flume on the right of the flow, 2 mandatory rappels, 40 feet and 55 feet can be done in or out of the flow. A few short swims. Nice narrow passages through white limestone hallways. Not very cold water.
Approach[edit]
Leave your car at the park at 46.3189,12.3161. From here, walk over to the end of the canyon and look at the flow into the final pool. Be sure you are comfortable with the level of flow. The canyon has a couple sections inside that get very narrow and intense, which are not visible from scouting alongside the approach road. Note that you will not be required to do this final drop as a toboggan; there are bolts on DCR with which you can do dry rappel.
Hike up the approach road, and before you reach the third bridge across the gorge (where the road ends), you will see a path down to the water just upstream of the large metal grate that spans the entire drainage. Suit up here and walk in the watercourse through the grate on DCL.
