Introduction[edit]

Very long and varied descent, one of the biggest and most interesting canyons in Albania. Even the view from the the edge on the top of the canyon is very unique. You can see a huge and deep canyon and the side walls rising from the canyon. The first part is very narrow and offers some really nice and high jumps. The stream formed a narrow gorge in high quality limestone shaped in horizontal bands and nicely sculpted rock. It it worth to do only this upper part of the canyon. The second part is very vertical and offers some nice jumps and magnificent rappels, with the highest being 85m high. The walls are really huge and the environment is extremely wild. Additionally one of the longest corridors in Europe is part of the descent: the "Nivicë corridor"; a 3km long and 150m deep, narrow gorge, with a mix of long swims and some easy walks.

An amazing canyon with stunning scenery. Easily one of the very best in Albania.
