Introduction[edit]

Rio Bordaglia is a left tributary of the river Torrente Degano and is located in the Valley of Val Degano near Forni Avoltri in the region of Friuli. Forra del Torrente Bordaglia is a tourist attraction and from 2014 the path that runs along the gorge has been rebuilt. From wooden plates and balconys along the path you can enjoy the views into the Canyon. The canyon is very short , with some low rappels, appr. 15m deep and very narrow. The walls in the canyon are nice polish, the water is beautiful colors and quite cold. The canyon on spring and early summer is probably not transient, because due high water level. The canyon is equipped in expedition style with some hard downclimbing( max 3m).
