Introduction

Rio di Bueda is one of the less known canyons in Friuli. It is of medium difficulty, armed in expedition style. It is in green environment with some beautiful narrowings in dolomite.

Approach

From Tolmezzo drive 7 km to Zuglio. Leave the first car near the bridge across Rio di Bueda. Then continue towards Fielis. Where you reach the first houses of the village, you see the crossroad with the dirt road coming from the left side (there is also a bench). There is enough space to leave the second car.

Follow the dirt road going to the left and downhill untill you reach the waterbed after 10 minutes.

Background

The canyon is equipped with multi monti spits (6mm). We went through the canyon with new Corda Dana 10 mm ropes, but it is equipped for 9mm rope. We recommend you to have some rope and nylon tracks for the rappeling points. There are 9-10 rappeling points in the canyon.
