"R 11 trees are dying and may no longer provide a good anchor source. Fun little route in oak creek. Fall colors were still nice.

The canyon can be done as a loop starting from the bottom (passenger vehicle accessible) or from the top (high clearance vehicle required). It can also be completed with a shuttle using two high clearance vehicles.
The KML track defines the loop approach starting from the 89A. Park at the first switchback and either hike to the rim via Sterling Canyon or cross the drainage and take a slightly faster and more direct route up a class 4 ridgeline.
Reference On Rope Canyoneering for shuttle approach details.
