Could be considered class 4 due to possible necessity for sandtrap (mud trap) or other creative anchoring. Several pools hold water after rains, up to waist deep. Dark and cold in Fall. A great canyon, if only it were a little longer. Technical section is 300 feet in length, and drops about the same in elevation. Approach hike mostly down hill about 45 minutes. Exit hike has a strenuous but quick climb up then a mile of slight uphill back that takes about 1:15.
