Arizona Regional Caving event hosted by Cochise County Cavers (CCC)
SCHEDULE:
- Friday, 1 April - Arrive in the afternoon. Some trips will be offered depending on interest.
- Saturday, 2 April - Cavings trips for all levels. ARA meeting at 8 pm. Auction of donated caving-related items to follow meeting.
- Sunday, 3 April - Additional trips in the morning depending on level of interest.
DINING:
- CCC will be doing a Fry's chicken dinner run for dinner Saturday night. If you would like to partake, please let your grotto chairperson know.
DIRECTIONS:
- Drive south 13 miles out of Sierra Vista on Arizona Highway 92 to the Coronado Memorial Road (FR 61).
- Turn right (south) and continue through the Coronado National Memorial on FR 61, passing the Coronado National Monument. From Montezuma *Pass within the Coronado National Memorial, take FR 61 west 3.5 miles
to FR 771. Follow FR 771 (north) and turn left at the Y to the old ranch area. This will be the ARA campsite. In the past, we would camp further up, but the road is currently hard to traverse for many vehicles. We'll have signs on FR 771 to mark the way.
