How to create a new location beta page
This is the place to create a new beta page for a location (Canyon, Cave, POI, etc). Just enter the name of the location in the box below and click "Create or Edit" -- clicking this button doesn't actually create the page, but it brings up a form where you can enter all the information. Once you click the "Save" button on that page, the page will actually be created.
The search indexer runs every 30 minutes on the hour. Your new location will appear in the search results after the next cycle finishes.
How to pick a name
- Descriptive names: When picking a location name, please use the full name even if common usage shortens the name. For instance, the name should be "Keyhole Canyon" even though most people refer to it only as "Keyhole".
- Modifiers at the end: If describing a particular fork or variation of a canyon, put the modifier at the end in parentheses. Do not include the region unless it is a very common name. If it is the name of an existing location, you will need to add the region name at the end because page names must be unique. In the case of adding a region, please use the most specific sub-region as possible.
