Summary[edit]

During ascending practice a rock fell striking the person on the thigh.

Accounts[edit]

We setup 2 ropes, one in the flow, a second on the dry anchor. Three descended in the flow and one person descended the dry rappel. Two people then ascended the dry rappel. The third started to ascend, he was 10 feet up and we think the rope dislodged a rock the size of a basketball. The rock fell striking the person ascending on the thigh causing a puncture wound. All of the people were able to walk out of the creek. The injury required cleaning and three stitches.
