"Low flow but water quality still good. Pleasant without a wetsuit on a sunny day in summer. All bolts fine (messy setup, but all ok). Entry route foot |

Introduction
A nice half day trip not far from Brisbane. Don't be put off by the carpark. One of the few canyons where you get to do the uphill slog first and enjoy a nice easy creek walk to finish.
You can check the water levels at the carpark which is next to the same creek downstream of the abseils, and again on the approach just before you drop into the canyon, where you have a view towards P2 and the infinity pool.
Approach
From Pugs Rock, follow an old Rd to the national Park gate, or follow the creek upstream. Continue walking up a spur following a steep fenceline. Scramble up onto the cliffline. Walk along the tops to Kinnanes creek. You'll need to drop in 100m upstream of the cliffline.
Descent
There is 100m of nice constriction with wades and a downclimb that some might find a little tricky but you can help each other down. The first abseil next to some slippery logs and drops into a swimmer. A great water slide follows depositing you into an infinity pool. Two long abseils follow. The first is about 50m and the second about 55m. At least one 60m rope to make the pull easier is recommended.
Exit
Follow the creek down to The Head Rd.
