Introduction[edit]

An action packed adventure in the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness. Creek crossings, short rappels, and handfuls of downclimbs through some unique geology will land you in Sycamore Canyon. Natural anchors and thought provoking down climbs make this an ideal option for experienced canyoneers. A cave at the bottom of the last rappel makes this route even more worthwhile.

Anchor building to be expected. Bring rapides and webbing.

Approach[edit]

Park at Parsons TH. Cross the creek and hike up onto the mesa via Packard trail. Hike across the mesa to the drop in.

Descent[edit]

R1: 60' off pinch LDC to the fat ledge below then downclimb. Set rope LDC to avoid bushes.

R2: 35' off cairn anchor in watercourse down conglomerate wall (pictured). Loose rock face, use caution here.

R3: 35' off knot chock into worm hole RDC.

Exit[edit]

Cross the creek and follow Parsons trail back to your vehicle.
