Canyon Pack[edit]
The canyon pack is used to haul equipment on the approach, in the canyon, and on the exit. It should be of sufficient capacity to carry personal and some group equipment, including the dry keg, vertical kit, neoprene, rope, etc. A popular capacity is 45 L - 55 L. It should be made of nonabsorbent material, float, and have adequate drainage. A comfortable waist belt will aid on the approach and during swims. Shoulder straps with quick release buckles allow for quick jettison in a hydraulic.
