Introduction

Rio Pricotic is mostly a rappeling canyon, located in Val Pontebbana, on the sunny side of the mountain Creta di Pricot. It lies near to Rio Pricot and is similar, but much more technical.

Approach

From Chiusaforte drive towards village Pontebba. From the main road turn to Poontebba and drive towards Val Pontebbana (Studena Bassa). After you pass Studena Bassa you cross the bridge over Torrente Pontebbana and drive to the sign Rio Pricotic.

On the right side of the canyon follow the barely visible path, which becomes more visible after 100 m. After you reach 2 ruined houses, find the way down to the canyon.

Background

The descent down from the highest waterfall goes i to the water and is quite dangerous in high waterlevel. The canyon was explored by Canyoning Cult Slovenia on 17th of April 2013.
