Introduction
If you like water parks, Suzanne is not to be missed. Jump city, 4 jumps to 40 feet. 2-4 rappels to 95 feet. Huge deep pools. From the drop-in a wide, shallow pool is encountered - stay river right in order to reach a stunning rappel through a thick natural bridge and down a brilliant cascade. The final 95-foot rappel is the other mandatory rappel. The first jump opportunity is from a ledge about 8-feet high into a deep wide pool, a perfect height for back-flips and swan dives. The next jump opportunity is from 25-30 feet high at a rappel station into a deep expansive pool. Before the 3rd jump there is a short 15-foot slightly bumpy slide - beware there is a small channel at the bottom where a foot or hand could get caught and broken. The 3rd jump is right at the end of this slide and there are perches from 15 to 20 feet high. The final jump opportunity is at the penultimate anchor station where the watercourse divides into a right waterfall and a left waterfall. The right side has more flow and a jump from 35 feet. The left anchor station is 40 feet. In either case, the pool is the size of a small lake and appears deep everywhere. The final rappel is a stunning 100-foot drop into a big lake-size pool. Just after the down-stream beach of this pool is the exit route, up a fairly well-worn trail and past an abandoned cabin and up a stairwell to a sugar cane field. The water is tea-color from natural tannins and does not look so appeallling, but this is the only downside to an awesome, relaxing day for jumping monkeys.
