The San Juans are the large volcanic mountain range in the SW corner of Colorado that includes Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride, Lake City, Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek Pass.

They contain a high concentration of Class C canyons.

The town of Ouray is in the north of this range and hosts an annual Ouray Canyon Festival in mid August.
