Sedona Arizona is located 2 hours North of Phoenix and has become a recreational destination for adventurers of all types. The Red Rock Region of Sedona boasts dozens of canyoneering and adventure routes ranging from short technical routes to demanding full day adventures. The majority of canyoneering routes in this region follow prominent slick rock watercourses through broken sections of red rock alcoves and pour offs. Archaeological sites will likely be encountered and should be respected and left un-disturbed. Routes in the front and backcountry will ensure the likelihood of hikers close by and this is important to take into consideration.

Canyons in this region are characterized as 3A or dry canyons that require the use of ropes to descend.
