Located between Sequoia National Forest and Yosemite National Park in the California Sierras, the Sierra National Forest contains canyons with a lot of water.
= Some of this area is currently affected by the Basin Fire (June 2024) and subject to closure.
Many of these canyons lie within the 2020 Creek Fire burn area. Open the kml in Caltopo and reference the Fire History layer and/or actually read the beta... expect burned trees and loose soil in affected areas. =
