Spain is a canyoneering mecca. There are countless incredible canyons here of all types. In general, flows are highest in early summer and lower by late summer. Most canyons are bolted are regularly maintained. The Spanish canyoning community is very active, with regular festivals throughout the country. Trip planning is relatively simple, and permits are not necessary for the majority of canyons. If going, be sure to rent a car.
