Introduction[edit]

Rio Vendelata is a right tributary of the river Torrente Meduna at the end of the valley Canale di Meduna near Tramonti di Sotto and it is located in the valley Val Tramontina. The creek has created a brief but interesting canyon, which in the end offers you some high jumps in deep green pools. Rio Vendelata is a fun canyon and, if you are around here and you have 2 hours, we recommend it to you.

From Udine or from Tarvisio drive into the Val Tramontina (from the direction of Tarvisio is probably closer over to pass Monte Rest) and continue to the village Tramonti di Sopra. From the main road turn to the village and follow the signs for picnic area, when you get the picnic area, drive on and cross the bridge over the river Meduna. From the bridge drive on another 150 meters, where you can find on the left side of the road, room for 2 cars.

From the parking lot follow the road about 60 meters to the sharp band, where on the left side of the road you find the path, that leads you to the creek.

C 50m: tree with rope and maillon (L)
