WaterflowIntroduction[edit]
Rio Visocco is mostly a rappeling canyon, located near the main road Udine-Tarvisio, on the south side of the mountain Montusel. The canyon is steep and carved in white limstone, with many waterfalls. It has a small amount of water and is suitable for periods when other canyons in the area have too much water.

Approach[edit]
From Chiusaforte drive towards village Dogna. About 1 km before Dogna there is a couple of houses (Vidali), where you leave the first car near the little chapel. Afterwards drive under the highway, then turn left towards Porto, continue to the village Plagnis: From there drive 200 m, where the road crosses the creek (Rio Visocco). There is the entrance point.
Descent[edit]
The canyon begins as soon as you get out of the car, with some bouldery downclimbs. Stream has about 25 descents and some wild toboggans, which need to be checked. The first slide (it is in the middle of the canyon) has a trunk in the pool and we bypassed the waterfall on the right side. The last two slides are quite long and can be tobogganed after checking pool depth. After the last toboggan go left out of the canyon and after 50 meters you reach the car.

First descent on 23.4. 2012 by Canyoning Cult Slovenia. It was done only on on natural rigging. 23.10.2012 the same team repeated the descent and equipped the canyon with bolts.
