Introduction[edit]
Climbing7 says "Bayonet Canyon, named after a rocky outcrop jutting towards the ground, visible high above at the end of the route, offers a superb descent in the Hatt sector, on the northern slope of Jabal Akhdar. The canyon features short rappels and numerous pools of translucent green water. Recently equipped by Khaled Abdul Malak and his team, it now ranks among the best descents in Oman, along with Ogre and Majestic Cave. The scenery is exceptional, with colorful and sculpted geological formations and enormous boulders that, in places, create chaotic boulder fields through which you must carefully maneuver. "
Approach[edit]
Half an hour across the basin.
