Introduction
==Approach==
Fun short play canyon with overhanging wall - a good practice place close to LA
Approach
Descent
Rappel 1 from a deadman cairn anchor in the watercourse about 15 feet from the edge. This is a 70' rappel that goes into an overhang in a beautiful sandstone amphitheater.
After a short downclimb you'll be at the top of R2, about 20' from a cairn anchor. There aren't a lot of good solid rocks in this area but should be enough to pile an anchor together.
The canyon continues getting progressively more sculpted with some beautiful fluted sandstone. There is also progressively more poison oak (March 2026) as you go down canyon. When it gets thick you can climb out of the canyon on the right to go around it though you will likely brush against it.
Rappel 3 was from a tree/shrub mid canyon, about 15' followed by a few downclimbs.
Near the end of the canyon when the PO got tchick and unavoidable we climbed out to a ridge DCR and down into the flowing creek.
