Summary
Person let go of brake hand and hit a rock on the fall breaking their ankle. Helicopter pulled canyoneer out and took them to the Fresno hospital.

After the stemming the rappel into the pool above the final three rappels. This rappel is two stages the first stage into a small hole. Then one proceeds down a small crack and finishes the last 10 feet of rappel. The canyoneer slipped on rappel in the crack portion and let go of their brake hand. Fortunately the fall was into a pool of water and only about 10 ft high. There is a rock shelf in the pool that the person struck when they fell into the pool of water resulting in the break.
