Park at the trailhead for the Mastadon pictograph.
This canyon is a 4A-III
Approach[edit]
Go up Mastadon Canyon and go right at the top.
Descent[edit]
Starts out with a 60 foot rappel off a sandtrap. Then a 30 foot downclimb. To get to the 3rd rappel, skirt left to a boulder and rappel off the boulder 60 feet to drop into the deep canyon thick with foliage above this point. Two more rappels off boulders, 60 feet and 80 feet.
NOTE: All bolts have been removed in this canyon.
Exit[edit]
A ten minute walk you can stay in the drainage, or walk the slickrock on the right for easier travel.
Red tape[edit]
Park directly next to the gate for Mastadon. Do not go near the trailer home at the end of the dirt road which is private property.
