Introduction[edit]
One of the longer canyons in the Verdugos with 7 rappels to 35 feet. Nice hike up to the ridge with great views of the valley. The canyon starts off loose and crumbly with what some might call "nuisance rappels". The canyon gets brushy a bit due to a spring/seep after a few raps. Some nicer less brushy rappels lower in the canyon. Canyon ends at the DeBell golf course.
Approach[edit]
Descent[edit]
Lower in the canyon Rap 5 & 6 (rapel numbering includes a few raps that could be down-climbed) are in quick succession. Nicer/less brushy rappels.

Background[edit]
First documented canyoneering descent by Alden Anderson and Chris Abando on 11/26/21. "I've wondered about this canyon for years, a few times while playing golf. Today I got to see what it was all about. I'd hoped it was a good candidate to run at night. Todays descent crushed all my hopes for that. A surprising number of rappels for the Verdugos." -AA
