Introduction[edit]

Dos Sasas is a great canyon with a lot of rappels that finishes right into a public swimming pool where your shuttle car (or taxi) waits for you. Less water is siphoned off by the town than Dos Edus in the next drainage over, so this canyon has a better flow than Dos Edus in lower water conditions. A final scenic rappel sequence down into the swimming pools, where all the locals can watch you.

Approach[edit]

Follow the same well established approach trail as Dos Edus, and continue about 10 min more along this trail past the starting point of Dos Edus.

Descent[edit]

Number of rappels and max height are approximate as I don't remember the exact numbers.

Exit[edit]

Finish right into the public swimming pools.

Red tape[edit]

Permission required to descend. Please see Coroico region page for more information.

Background[edit]

Canyon is named after the two Saras, experienced canyon guides that visited one year from Spain. Sadly one of the Saras died in a canyon accident in Spain a few months after her descent of this canyon.
