Introduction[edit]
This activity is simply rappelling the dramatic waterfall seen from the main road.
Approach[edit]
From the parking location, hike about 10 min down the hillside through the banana plants.
If you don't have a 4wd vehicle, park at the Park Alt location and hike up the road, about 15 more minutes. If you don't have a shuttle vehicle, you'll have to walk this road anyway.
Descent[edit]
The waterfall is broken into a 3 stage rappel
R1 75' to the edge
R2 115' to a near hanging rebelay on tiny ledges (note this passes a really bad single bolt)
R3 200' semi free hanging (this passes a slightly sharp edge, do not move horizontally on rappel)
Continue down canyon and downclimb a short exposed drop RDC using tubing and a short handline as balance
Exit[edit]
Hike for a few minutes back out to the road. If you don't have a shuttle vehicle, it's about 1km walk back to the starting point.
