Introduction
This canyon is described in limited detail in Canyons Near Sydney by Rick Jamieson. Help the Australian canyoning community by contributing track notes to ropewiki.com
The Rick Jamieson grid reference is for the final canyon section into the North Boori (Dingo Creek).
Both of the upper branches have short sections of canyon. The main upper branch (west) has a nice 50m section of canyon running west-to-east that ends with a 10m abseil into an amphitheater that Michael Keats has named Bulla Nadgyung and the Golden Dome. The eastern upper branch has a section of canyon sometimes named Locked Gate due to that section finishing with a blockage caused by a rock fall. Locked Gate has a short swim and a couple of downclimbs.
The main section of canyon is the final 100m leading to the North Boori junction. The 3 or 4 drops can be down-climbed, but the safety of a rope might be prudent. This section has a swim along a nice 20m corridor under a chockstone, the pool can be jumped into, down-climbed into, or climbed over.
