Summary[edit]

Deep cut on hand from dislodged rock

Accounts[edit]

We took the long exit (downstream), which does not seem popular. The steepest part was very unstable and looked like it had recently experienced a minor landslide. It is also possible that we were off track somehow but all other routes up this drainage seemed like they cliffed out. First person up was using the rocks RUC to pull herself up the unstable dirt when a 2 square foot piece of the wall came loose. It fell onto her hand, causing a deep gash and blunt force trauma. She was thrown into an uncontrolled slide downslope but was arrested by the 2nd member of the party, who was in a stable stance. We were able to climb out by throwing a rope over a pinch point LUC at the top of the chute but this area is unstable and is not a viable exit at this point. We cleaned and bandaged the wound once back at the vehicle and decided not to seek medical attention.
