Introduction[edit]

A moderately interesting, nontechnical network of small slot canyons south of the town of Wikieup, AZ.

May be worth checking out if you’re passing through this rather desolate part of the state, and could be paired with nearby Kaiser Hot Springs (see link below).

Approach[edit]

Park below the bridge or just before the washed out section of road. A crossover or other high clearance vehicle is advised, though passenger vehicles can park off the highway just north of the bridge.

Hike the road per KML track and scramble down into the drainage where indicated.

Descent[edit]

A couple small downclimbs and some interesting geology.

Throughout this area, on both sides of the bridge, multiple mini slot canyons can be found. The one referenced in the uploaded KML file seemed the cleanest and involves minimal effort to access.

Exit[edit]

Red tape[edit]

Gaia seems to indicate blocks of potentially private land existing nearby, though the KML track and section of drainage identified on this page are located on BLM land.
