Approach
Park along the available pull‑off area (35.54225, -92.79729) and prepare for a short approach hike following an all-terrain road until you find a drainage ditch on your right (35.54710, -92.80275)
Descent
R1. Immediately upon entering the canyon, you encounter a 6‑meter rappel from a tree.
R2. After the 1st rappel, continue downstream for ~200 m, You’ll reach a small 4‑meter drop, this is bypassable, but can be rappelled for fun. Water flow is usually mild.
Slot Section. After ~600 m, the creek transitions into a narrow slot.
R3. Walk another 100 m through this scenic slot until you reach the top of Ladder Bucket Falls. This is the signature element of the route. Total vertical drop: ~7-8 m, rapel from a tree on a steep slope for 4-5 m until you reach the water caudal and the edge of the fall, A free-hanging rappel directly in the waterfall, There is no rock wall on the lower section, so be prepared for a short, free rappel.
After this you will enter on an open hollow, keep walking for 2oo mts and On the left canyon wall, you’ll see John Mountain Falls.
Exit
At 35.55035, -92.79375, begin ascending the route-finding is required but manageable. Reach the ridge road at: 35.55365, -92.79606 Follow the ATV Road up upstream until you reach an intersection.Turn left. Continue ~1.0 km back to the parking area.

Background
Ladder Bucket Falls is slippery, especially after rain. The lower rappel is free‑hanging, making it feel more exposed. Water levels vary—after heavy rain, flow can exponentially increase difficulty.
