Introduction[edit]

Short but sweet swimming section. Not a destination or particularly long canyon but worth the stop if you are in the area and have the gear with you. I use it as a play section when I am camping and climbing in the area.

Approach[edit]

Park off the road and cross the creek, find the arch and slot just upstream of the big waterfall.

Descent[edit]

Use the arch, or the tree behind it to fix a single strand for wet disconnects. Rappel next to or through the small waterfall that aims into the archway into the cold, dark room below. Swim to the narrowest part and relax at the base of the bigger waterfall seen from the road before jumping into the pool.

  • There is a big log jam strainer at the base of the big waterfall and pool with hydraulics you don't want to get pulled into*

When you are ready to jump in under the big waterfall SWIM HARD and STAY LEFT; Climb onto the log jam to exit the water. From here you can either exit by climbing up DCL, or continue down canyon about 100 meters and exit on DCR back to the road.

Exit[edit]

From the log jam climb up the DCL wall back to your rope, or continue down canyon through fun obstacles until it opens up on the DCR wall and you can climb up to the road.
