Introduction

Approach

For stunning views overlooking Arches and to the La Sals in the distance, be sure to hike up to the edge of the cliff. From the head of the canyon just continue up another 50 feet of gain and you will come to an abrupt 800 foot drop to the highway below.

Trip reports and media

May 2017, group of 4 took 5 hours car-to-car. 2 rappels, both free-hanging. At the head of the canyon we rapped off a tree a couple hundred feet on canyon left. Using a retrievable anchor here will maintain the leave-no-trace ethic. This area is visible to many off-road enthusiasts. It looks like the entrance can be down-climbed either at the head or on canyon right at a break down. There is a fun dry slide of about 10 feet before the 2nd rappel. The approach and exit hikes are on a popular ATV route so it makes for a noisy and dusty day.
