Introduction[edit]
Lost Park Canyon features one of the best slots in the Roost that provides a 300 foot long R-rated high-stemming opportunity. This is the lower slot where it is easy to start out stemming and quickly find yourself 40 feet off the deck. This lower slot continues for 1000 feet. A very unique opportunity in the Roost for intermediate canyoneers to practice high-stemming. The final rappel at the end of the lower slot drops into a vast alcove off a free-hang rappel from a bomber-looking knotchock anchor. The upper slot section features serpentine walls and several downclimbs for the beginners. If you have done Larry and Alcatraz and want to try something a bit more challenging that you can bring friends into this is a great choice.
