Introduction[edit]

A short but action-packed canyon hiding in plain sight near the exit of Eaton Canyon.

Approach[edit]

Take the Altadena Crest Trail and climb the firebreak to the transmission towers. At the towers, turn east and descend the ridge through some brush to the drop-in.

Descent[edit]

The canyon starts off with dirt mixed with rock but the rock quality gets better as you descend.

R1: 70' - tree

R2: 90' - tree, multi-step

R3: 60' - tree (banner photo)

R4: 15' - tree

R5: 25' - bush

R6: 60' - bush, multi-step

Exit[edit]

The final rappel drops you on the Eaton Canyon Falls Tail between the two dams so the exit is a breeze.
