Approach

Head up the steep dirt trail to the right of the parking. Follow paths the have been traveled on & the trail eventually gets steeper with sharp bushes & loose rocks to zig zag around. The down hill from the ridge to the canyon is loose crumbly so follow spots that have been traveled. At the drainage there will be a section of bushes to go through.

Descent

Downclimb through the drainage quite some ways before arriving at rap 1. Raps 1-5 are in direct succession.

R1 - 70’ rock pinch

R2 - 65’ boulder

R3 - 100’ rock flake

R4 - 90’ rock pinch

R5 - 80’ hackberry tree

Long walk with downclimbs

Near the end of the long walk where it opens up there is an optional 60’ rappel under boulders into a cool room DCR. Optional climbers traverse DCR to avoid pools below rappel. Can also avoid rap by staying high DCL

R6 - 30’ bolts into pools or traverse DCL and downclimb to avoid

R7 - 30’ bush down to pool or get off early and climb around DCL

R8 - 70’ bolts DCL

Exit

Follow the wash & veer a left up out of the wash to the trail that will curve around the bushy lower spots.
