Introduction

Easy canyon with a few downclimbs. More fun way to reach West Clear Creek than taking Calloway trail.

Use FR-9693V to access. Also possible to access FR-9693V by going down FR-142B which eventually meets up with FR-9693V. Road is pretty rough in spots with medium sized boulders, down trees, and rutted out road.

Approach

Follow FR-9693V towards canyon. Leave FR-9693V and head towards main canyon or Bueno Tank. Canyon has a few down trees to hike through.

Descent

Continue the a few down trees, overall not very brushy. A few fun downclimbs.

R1: 40' optional off of tree. Also possible to bypass downclimbing RDC.

A few more good downclimbs before reaching West Clear Creek. A of the couple downclimbs would be challenging to upclimb back up canyon.

Exit

Go downstream of West Clear Creek about 1000' to Calloway trail LDC. A couple of deep swims in West Clear Creek to get to trail head. Follow Calloway trail up to road. Follow road back to vehicle.
