These canyons lie on the eastern side of the reef, roughly opposite the Fruita District, but not as far south along the Waterpocket Fold as many of the other eastern canyons.

These canyons lie on the eastern side of the reef, roughly opposite the Fruita District, but not as far south along the Waterpocket Fold as many of the other eastern canyons. These drainages empty eastward into the Notom area—the site of the old ghost town, where a few farms still remain. With one or two exceptions, they are most often approached from the Notom (eastern) side of the reef rather than from the Fruita (western) side.
