Introduction[edit]

Description for ONE STAR CANYON - see write-up below for Madusa

N THIS CANYON, WE STARTED UP FROM MORMON POINT AND DROPPED INTO THE CANYON NAMED ONE STAR CANYON. AFTER HEADING DOWN IT WE CAME TO THE FIRST TECHNICAL SECTION AND BAILED ON IT DUE IT NOT LOOKING SO GOOD. SO, THEN WE ELECTED TO HEAD UP THE NEXT RIDGE TO THE EAST AND TRY FOR THE NEXT CANYON OVER. AND THAT CANYON IS NAMED MEDUSA CANYON ON THE MAP, AND THE ONE THIS REPORT IS ABOUT. AN ALTERNATIVE APPROACH COULD BE THE LOWER RIDGE BETWEEN THE TWO CANYONS REFERRED TO HERE, BUT HAS NOT BEEN DONE YET TO SEE ABOUT IT.

Approach[edit]

PHOTO SHOWS THE UPPER PORTION OF THIS CANYON ON THE HIKE-UP FROM MORMON POINT - NOT MUCH IN THIS UPPER SECTION. we WENT DOWN THIS AND DECIDED TO MOVE TO NEST CANYON TO THE EAST (MADUSA CANYON)

Descent[edit]

did not finish lower section
