Introduction[edit]

A single drop into Taylor tank canyon, located just before Fatty. The rappel is quite beautiful, and the approach provides excellent views of Palatki and Hartwell Canyon. Be prepared for some vegetative hardship and minor blood loss on the approach and exit thanks to an abundance of locust. If you're looking for a rugged adventure with 1 drop, then this fits the bill. If you want a bit more rope time, continue onto Fatty. Please note that the page for Fatty contains a much simpler and straight forward approach to both Fatty and Pinner.

Approach[edit]

Some mild 4th class scrambling with exposure near the start. If you don't wish to do that, then please follow the approach described in listing for Fatty.

Descent[edit]

Please rig releasable, and don't leave webbing behind. This is a relatively pristine canyon so let's do our best to keep it that way.

Exit[edit]

Please be mindful of the private property at the mouth of Hartwell Canyon and follow the KML closely. There is a social trail which is easy to follow that skirts around the private property boundary.

Red tape[edit]

PLEASE tread lightly on ALL canyons near Arche sites. Too many impacts in these areas can lead to restrictions down the road. Tread lightly so we retain access. For more information please visit: https://www.sedonacanyoneering.com/archaeological-sites
