"A nice canyon to visit on the spur. Sandtrap was used for the first rap and the last downclimb in the canyon. Straightforward route and a great first |

Introduction[edit]
The Class 4 rating is due to the sandtrap required on the first rappel in North Fork. The R rating is for the South Fork. The North Fork and section below the confluence is not R. There are two keepers near the bottom of North Fork but they can be avoided by doing a walk-around on the right. The anchor for the rappel below the confluence is a small bush. To get to South Fork exit the North Fork before the confluence on a burro trail at 38.37991, -110.16801 on the left and head up to a saddle to 38.37624, -110.16643. The South Fork start is at 38.37333, -110.16646. If using the waypoint on Climb-Utah for SF you miss a nice upper section with an arch and some tight narrowband mild stemming. The bottom section of deep narrows is likely to hold water and may even have a swimmer some times of the year.
