Introduction[edit]
Remote wilderness slot canyon with several downclimbs (up to 4m) and a huge amount of swimming - longest approx 100m. It would be difficult, but possible to reverse the entire trip requiring several swimming starts to climb up small waterfalls.
Canyon grading:
V2
- - Easy climbing and down climbing with little exposure.
- - (V1) No rappels, rope normally unnecessary for progress.
A4
- - Prolonged immersion in cold water. (Swims longer than 30m, with no current)
- - (A3) Simple jumps between 3 and 5m
Commitment:
- - No escape in entire canyon.
Approach[edit]
Follow the walking track up to Mount Sonder, when it gains the ridge, walk west, following the ridge all the way to the start of the canyon.

Follow the walking track back to the car.

Overnight off track walking needs a permit.
