Introduction[edit]
The FAR North-West! A nice single drop waterfall and short canyon 'out the road' in Juneau, Alaska.
Approach[edit]
Drive towards Echo Cove on Alaska State route 7 (Glacier Highway). At Mile 39.5 stay right and follow the road to the end and a gravel parking lot. Hike to the falls by following the road to the beach and hiking on the faint user trail just in the trees. Following the CalTopo Route will guide you there.
Descent[edit]
A few trees next to the falls work well for anchor points. Once in the canyon, swim over a small waterfall (do not jump as there is a hidden boulder)and exit. Repeat as necessary.
Exit[edit]
Hike back the same way you came.
Red tape[edit]
None
