Introduction
A quick outing near Verde Valley school. Two rappels drop this large alcove system off of house mountain.
Approach
Park on Verde valley school road near the parking pin. The alcove can be seen from the road. Hike up the ridge on the left/East side. When it gets too steep traverse over into the canyon. A small scree slope and easy scrambling will get you on top of House Mountain.
Once on top walk down into main drainage and R1.
Descent
R1 150' off tree LDC.
R2 35' off rock pinch bear edge. Aggressive overhang. Easy to bypass RDC.
Exit
Continue down the drainage to the road and your vehicle.
