Introduction[edit]

These are two nice slot canyons with fixed ropes at some of the drops. Usually you climb up Sheepbone and rappel down Quarry.

  • The only official name in any map is "Majestic Canyon" referring to Sheepbone, the one you go up through.
  • Please, remember that permanent fixed hardware is prohibited in LMNRA. Aka, no bolts.

Approach[edit]

Either park on the paved road where GPS file dictates and hike the dirt trail in or if you have high clearance (preferable 4x4) drive all the way in to the start of the narrows.

A shuttle vehicle can be left at the exit if desired.

Descent[edit]

Sheepbone Climb (use caution and completely inspect any ropes that may have been placed, it is best to send a climber first to determine rope strategy)
