"Ran through as part of the Ultimate Loop (Time reflects this canyon + exit to car - not the loop). Fun canyon, definitely want a scuttlebut!

Introduction[edit]

Approach[edit]

Descent[edit]

Rappel 1 is the only true rappel in the canyon so bypassing it means that the skilled can downclimb the rest of the canyon, avoiding the need to rappel at all. If planning to skip R1 and not rappel mid canyon, you could leave ropes, harnesses, descenders, etc. behind and treat this as a class 2 slot. However, a rope for a handline may still be advisable.

Rappels[edit]

  • R1: 80 feet - Anchored from large rock. This can be bypassed so that you start the canyon a little lower down.
  • R2: 50 feet - Anchored from a boulder. Can be downclimbed but the start may be challenging for some.
  • Any other spots in the canyon with anchors are supplemental and can be downclimbed.
