Introduction[edit]

I WENT SOLO EXPLORING UP DIFFERENT CANYONS, AND HAD NO IDEA OF WHAT WAS IN THIS CANYON. LATER I LEARNED THAT IT IS A KNOWN CANYON THAT PEOPLE CAN HIKE UP. THERE ARE THREE DROPS THAT I DID, BUT ALL OF THEM HAVE BYPASS TRAILS BUILT AROUND THEM. NO ANCHORS WERE ANYWHERE AT THE RAPPEL POINTS AND I HAD TO BUILD ROCK PILE ANCHORS FOR ALL OF THEM. SINCE THERE IS A BYPASS, NO ONE SEEMED IT WAS NEEDED. BUT THE "SLIT" IS A VERY PRETTY DRAMATIC SHORT DRY-FALL BUT WORTH THE EFFORT TO GO CHECK IT OUT. I DID THIS AS AN EXPLORATORY MISSION SO I CONTINUED ON UP FOR 3.5 MILES JUST TO SCOUT. AND I WENT THROUGH SEVERAL NICE NARROWS TO SCRAMBLE THROUGH. A NICE SHORT ONE.
